Below are the key steps in building out your own podcast/content studio:

Conceptualize

Location - Will we build inside an existing space of yours, or scout a new location for your studio?

Needs - Will the studio be used in-house only, or be offered for rent by the public? Will the studio be only for audio, or podcast with videos as well?

Size - Max occupancy?

Build

Walls + Soundproofing - Depending on the existing structure and the soundproofing needs, this step will have a major impact on how pristine your recordings can ultimately be.

Sound-treating - Pesky but extremely important details. Soundproofing is to keep outside sounds outside, but treatment is to make sure the sound waves don’t reverberate back into the microphones again and again.

Windows - If there are separate soundbooths, double-paned windows allow the engineer and talent to properly communicate without compromising sound integrity.

Exhaust + Air-Conditioning - Depending on climate, use frequency and occupancy, considering air and exhaust while building can save serious money in the long-term.

Complete

Gear - Every studio has different gear needs, and our expertise can help determine the perfect equipment to fill your new space. (BONUS: we have strong relationships with major suppliers, and are able to procure your equipment with heavy discounts.)

Wiring - A properly wired room ensures clean audio and saves precious time in recording sessions.

Furnish - With over 25 years in home furnishings, we can provide wholesale furniture for your new space.

Security - Cameras, alarms, and access doors for everyone’s safety.

Training - A recording studio can’t be run without some know-how. We can either train you, your staff, or staff your location in full.
